Formal consultation:

The formal consultation phase ran from 19 May to 11 August 2026, and is now closed. 

The 12 week formal consultation period gave us the opportunity to gather views on the five proposals that came out of the pre-consultation engagement. The consultation was targeted at family members of the deceased, survivors and residents of North Kensington, and organisations supporting these groups.

Summary

During the formal consultation phase, we invited people to share their views via:

Working with young people

Our Future Creators Collective project was set up to recruit young people, aged 18 - 30 from across North Kensington, to help develop engaging messages that encourage more young people to have their say and take part in the consultation. 

The young people worked closely with our Communications and Community Engagement teams, and built practical media and communication skills. These skills included content planning, storyboarding, filming, editing, social media production and campaign messaging. The team produced a video, for use on TikTok, and were thanked with gift vouchers.
