General information about environmental searches

We provide an environmental searches services under the Environmental Information Regulations. This lets you:

  • Request information about properties and places
  • Browse past requests in our publication scheme

Are there any exemptions? 

There are number of legal exemptions that apply to the provision of information about the environment. If can't provide you with the information that you are looking for, we'll write to you explaining the reasons why.

How much does it cost?

Find the latest fees here in our publication scheme. The provision may be subject to the payment of any applicable and appropriate fee. You will be given a fees notice as quickly as possible, requesting payment of the fee.

The information you have requested will only be provided to you once full fee is received (if paying by cheque, once the cheque has cleared).

How to request information

If you want to make a request for information which is not currently available in our publication scheme:

  • Make a request in writing by emailing infoaccess@london-fire.gov.uk
  • Include your name, contact details and the information you wish to receive.
  • Under the Environmental Information Regulations, requests can also be made verbally.

We will aim to respond to your request within 20 working days of receiving it. If we're unable to meet the deadline, we'll let you know when we expect to respond to you.
