What is a firefighter information session?

Our information sessions take place online, via Zoom. They last around an hour and a half. You’ll hear from members of our Outreach team and firefighters.

During the session you’ll find out about:

  • What the role involves
  • How the application process works
  • What our training programme looks like

And of course you’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

Do I have to attend a session?

Attending an information session is the first stage in the process of becoming a firefighter. Those who attend a session will be given the opportunity to apply when the next vacancies open up.
