Commissioner Andy Roe delivers his New Year message

Thousands of firefighters, control officers and colleagues in our support services were working over the holiday period and I must thank them for their dedicated service.

Our thoughts remain with the families and loved ones of the 72 people who lost their lives.

As we enter the new year, I’d like to thank our firefighters, control officers and staff for their service, working hard to keep London safe every day, particularly those who have worked throughout the Christmas period taking time away from their families.
