This report seeks approval to accept a tender for the supply of a hosted (cloud based) telephony service for the Brigade. The existing contract with Unify was designed to allow time for the Brigade's aging telephony equiptment to continue to be supported, whilst a programme was initiated to migrate the Brigade to a predominantly cloud hosted service.
This report provides an update on progress of the Operation Support Project, which was established to provide a combined Protective Equipment Group (PEG) and Brigade Distribution Centre (BDC) facility.
This paper presents a new information and technology strategy for the Brigade – LFB in a digital world – covering the three year period 2019 to 2021. The strategy presents a high level view of the strategic information technology and information management priorities for the Brigade. A vision of the way ahead for the use of digital technologies is illustrated in appendix A through a series of ‘personas’, with top information and technology priorities over the life of the strategy in appendix B.
This report is submitted in accordance with Financial Regulation 22 which requires that the statutory finance officer (Director of Corporate Services) submit a mid-year monitoring report on the activities of the London Fire Commissioner’s (LFC) treasury management operation to the Commissioner’s Board.
Her Majesty the Queen was petitioned and has now granted Royal Licence to the transfer of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority’s Arms to the London Fire Commissioner.
One of the roles of the new Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services is to support continuous improvement and support fire and rescue services to become more effective. At the same time, based on experiences of previous inspection (and peer support) regimes, this is likely to place a new resourcing requirement on the Brigade to facilitate the inspection process.
