Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a house on Calverton Road in East Ham.
Most of the ground floor and a small part of the first floor were damaged by the fire. A small amount of damage was also caused to an outbuilding. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2210 and the fire was extinguished by 2315. Control Officers mobilised crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Barking and Homerton fire stations to the scene.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
