Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a terraced house fire on Nash Road, Chadwell Heath.
All of the garden was damaged by the fire, as well as half of the ground floor and some of the first floor. One person had left the property prior to the Brigade arriving and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade’s Control Officers took 22 calls about the incident, with the first call taken at 1655. The fire was under control by 1829, fire crews from Hainault, Romford and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
