Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters responded to a fire on Ravenscroft Road, Beckenham.
The fire involved a terraced house of two floors and a loft conversion. Crews worked to extinguish flames located in the buildings void space between the first floor and loft. One of the Brigade's 32m ladders was deployed to the scene as part of our response.
Eight people left the property before crews arrived, alongside two more from a neighbouring building. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was first called about the incident at 2222, and crews from Woodside, Forest Hill, West Norwood and surrounding fire stations have been sent to the scene. Crews had the fire under control by 0256.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's Fire Investigation Team.
