Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a two-storey mid-terrace house on Ashbourne Grove, Chiswick.
Part of the front fascia of the house and the roof void were damaged by the fire. A bin store in the front garden was also destroyed. There were no reports of any injuries.
Two gas cylinders were involved in the fire and were removed and cooled to an ambient temperature as a precaution as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene.
The Brigade's Control officers took the first of six calls about the fire at 1053 and mobilised crews from Richmond, Ealing, Kensington and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control at 1212.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
