Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on Lambert Walk in Wembley.

The whole of the ground and first floors of a mid-terraced house were destroyed. Part of the loft and a small part of the external side of an adjacent flat were also damaged by fire. A woman left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.

Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to assess for fire spread and identify any remaining hot spots to damp down.

The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 13 calls to the fire at 2020 and sent fire crews from Wembley, Northolt, Willesden, Stanmore and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 2141.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
