Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a house on Oakdene Road in Uxbridge.
Part of the ground and first floor were damaged by the fire. A small part of the external fascia of a neighbouring property was also damaged by the fire. One woman left the building before the Brigade arrived. There are no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to provide the Incident Commander with an aerial view of the fire.
Control Officers took the first of six calls at 1351 and mobilised crews from Southall, Northolt, Heathrow and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1614.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
