Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a house fire on Corbets Tey Road in Upminster.
The roof of a detached house was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of eight calls about the fire at 2334 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Hornchurch, Wennington, Dagenham, Harold Hill, Romford and Barking fire stations to the scene. A 32-metre turntable ladder from Tottenham Fire Station also attended. The fire was brought under control by 0035.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
