Fire at house converted into flats - Harringay

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a fire on Wightman Road in Harringay.

The roof and loft space of a house converted into flats was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade received the first of 16 calls about the fire at 2002 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Hornsey, Stoke Newington and Tottenham fire stations to the scene. A 32-metr turntable ladder from Tottenham Fire Station also attended.

The fire was extinguished by 2306.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
