Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on Lawrence Road, South Norwood.
The fire involved a semi-detached house of three floors. A garage on the side of the house was destroyed by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of 13 calls reporting the fire at 1357. Control Officers mobilised crews from Woodside, Bromley, Croydon and surrounding fire stations to the scene. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 1516.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
