Firefighters have been in attendance at an outdoor fire near the A13 Newham Way in East Ham.
The fire occurred near the eastbound carriageway between the junctions of Prince Regent Lane and Woolwich Manor Way. A grass verge was alight along with a row of fence panels. A number of vehicles parked on a side street near the fencing sustained some heat damage.
One person was treated at the scene by firefighters.
The incident continues to cause some traffic disruption whilst the Brigade retains a small presence on scene to dampen down.
The Brigade received the first of around 90 calls at 1338 and Control Officers have mobilised four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Plaistow, Barking and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1432.
