Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a fire at a mid terraced shop with dwellings above on Newlands Park in Sydenham.
At the height of the fire, half of the first floor was alight.
Control Officers took the first of 17 calls at 1410 and mobilised crews from Beckenham, Woodside, Lewisham and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1641.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
