Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a fire at a community centre on Holmshaw Close in Bell Green.
A lean-to was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of four calls about the fire at 1554 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Forest Hill, Lewisham, Lee Green, New Cross, West Norwood and Greenwich fire stations to the scene. A 32-metre turntable ladder from Forest Hill fire station also attended. The fire was extinguished by 1725.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
