Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire on Banavie Gardens in Beckenham.
Half a loft space in a two storey terraced house was destroyed by fire. Two people left before the Brigade arrived on scene.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers were alerted to the fire at 0922 and mobilised crews from Beckenham, Bromley, Woodside and Lewisham fire stations. The fire was under control by 1018.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to an electrical fault.
