Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a grass fire near Sandy Lane in Orpington.
Station Commander Anthony Lea, who attended the scene, said: "Firefighters worked hard to swiftly contain this fire, which affected around two hectares of woodland, preventing the spread of the fire to a nearby business."
There are currently no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the first of three calls at 1911 and have mobilised crews from Orpington, Sidcup, Bexley and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 2039.
