Fourteen fire engines and around 90 firefighters responded to a grass fire in Hornchurch Country Park.
Crews worked to extinguish multiple seats of fire, and will work into the evening dampening down the scene.
The Brigade took the first of 20 calls reporting the fire at 1516. Crews from Romford, Ilford, Hornchurch and surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 1731.
