Sadly a woman has died following a fire on Berkley Avenue, Hounslow.
The fire involved a mid-terraced house of two floors and a loft conversion. The ground floor was destroyed by the fire, with the first floor and loft conversion also being damaged. Five adults and a dog were rescued from the building by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. One adult was rescued from the roof of the building by crews using a ladder, and three people had left the property before crews arrived. All were treated on scene by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital. Sadly, a woman later died whilst being treated at hospital.
The Brigade was first called about the incident at 0115, and crews from Feltham and Heathrow fire stations were sent to the scene. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 0235.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service.
