Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a garden shed fire on Albyn Road in Lewisham.
One garden shed was completely destroyed by fire and half of a second shed was also damaged by the blaze.
Around 17 people were evacuated from nearby properties before the Brigade arrived.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers received the first of 37 calls at 1316. They deployed crews from Deptford, Greenwich, Forest Hill and New Cross fire stations. The fire was under control by 1507.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
