Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire at a property on Robertson Street in Battersea.

The fire occurred at a terraced house converted into flats. Part of a first-floor studio flat was damaged by fire. One man was led to safety from the flat by breathing apparatus crews and left in the care of London Ambulance Service.

The Brigade was called at 1935 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Battersea, Chelsea and Brixton fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 2012.

The fire is believed to have been caused by the unsafe disposal of smoking materials.
