Following the most recent Deputy Commissioner appointments there are two vacant Assistant Commissioner posts that need filling now and in the very near future. The post of Head of Grenfell Tower Investigation and Review Team post was also evaluated as an Assistant Commissioner post but never recruited to substantively.

Award Report - Fuel Cards and Associated Services

This report seeks approval to award the contract for the fuel cards and associated services to the Supplier named in Appendix 1 - CCS Award Recommendation Report. A joint mini competition was undertaken calling off from the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) framework RM6000 Provision of Fuel cards and Associated Services. LFC will be completing a Call Off Order Form in accordance with the provisions of the Framework Agreement for the provision of Emergency Services Fuel Cards.

Ultra Low Emission Fleet (ULEF) Programme

LFC-0034 sets out the initial steps proposed to be taken to achieve the fleet targets set out by the Mayor in the London Environment Strategy. The approach is based on the Ultra Low Emission Fleet plan developed for the London Fire Brigade's fleet. The London Fire Commissioner approves the budget requirement over five years.

Procurement of Travel and Accommodation Services

This report seeks approval to award a contract for travel and accommodation services to Corporate Travel Management Limited (CTM) under the collaborative National Health Service framework for Travel Management Services (SBS/16/SB/ZXS/892) and includes streamlining supporting business processes to reduce transaction costs.

Budget Submission 2019/20

The Mayor has written to the London Fire Commissioner to consult the LFC before preparing his draft component budget for the LFC for 2019/20. The Mayor is proposing to provide funding of £391.3m for the London Fire Commissioner in that year. This report provides a proposed budget submission to the Mayor that will meet that financial requirement.

Local Pay Policy

This report sets out a formal pay policy statement for 2019/20 to be adopted by the London Fire Commissioner (LFC) in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, section 38.

Disposal of Former Southwark Fire Station and Training Centre

This report sets out recommendations for the completion of the transaction with the purchaser (Hadston) and on all associated matters with regards to the sale of the former Southwark Fire Station and Training Centre. The London Fire Commissioner gives approval to complete the transaction.

Microsoft Office Licensing Renewal

LFB adopted Microsoft (MS) Office as its desktop tool for email (Outlook), documents (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) software in 1999. A corporate budget is in place for the licensing of these products. The licensing arrangement with Microsoft requires a three yearly confirmation of the Brigade’s requirements against Microsoft’s current licensing structure and prices.
