During 2025-26 we worked with Goals to deliver a community football programme for young people in London. This blended football training with fire safety education and career mentoring, all delivered by firefighters.

Children and young people start to play with fire for various reasons, ranging from natural curiosity in toddlers to older children using firesetting to express feelings of anger or emotional distress.

In July, we hosted a four-day art project for young people in the Notting Hill area. The aim of the project was to create artwork to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Windrush, which would be turned into a huge banner, to be displayed on the front of North Kensington Fire Station at Carnival.
