Firefighters rescued a man from a flat fire on Plumtree Close, Dagenham in the early hours of this morning. Crews wearing breathing apparatus brought the unconscious man out the first floor flat.

A woman and two children had a lucky escape when firefighters rescued them from a fire that had started in the restaurant below their flat on Edgware Road in Colindale last night.

Firefighters rescued a couple from a severe maisonette blaze on Giffin Street, Deptford in the early hours of the morning. The fire badly damaged the maisonette split over the second and third floor.
