London Fire Brigade is reissuing essential advice to people about white goods safety following the announcement that the Grenfell Tower fire started in a fridge freezer.

Our thoughts remain with the families and loved ones of the 72 people who lost their lives.

The London Fire Commissioner will today call for the Government to take stronger action and undertake urgent research on ‘buildings that fail’ on fire safety which leaves ‘stay put’ advice no longer viable.

There will be an increase in serious building fires unless the construction industry starts to take fire safety more seriously.
