Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters tackled a fire at a range of terraced houses on Knollmead, Tolworth.
Half of the rear of a mid terraced house and a small part of the rear and part of the loft of a second terraced house were damaged by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32m ladders was deployed to the scene as part of the response.
The Brigade received the first of five calls reporting the fire at 1547, and firefighters had the incident under control by 1711. Crews from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden and surrounding fire stations were mobilised to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's Fire Investigation Team.
