Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Twickenham Bridge in Richmond.
The collision involved two vehicles. One man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters released a woman who was confirmed to be trapped inside one of the vehicles. She was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service along with one further casualty.
The scene was made safe by firefighters before being left in the care of the Metropolitan Police.
Three fire engines Richmond and Heston fire stations and a fire rescue unit from Chelsea Fire Station attended the scene.
