Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a house fire on St Michaels Avenue, Wembley. 

The fire was located in a semi-detached house of three floors. The buildings roof was destroyed by the fire, and sections of the first floor were also damaged. One of the Brigades 32m ladders was deployed to the scene to tackle the fire from above. 

The Brigade received the first of six calls reporting the fire at 1321. Crews from Wembley, Park Royal. Willesden and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 1527. 

The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by hot works taking place on the buildings roof.
