Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a grass fire near Carshalton Road in Mitcham.
Around half of a hectare of a field was damaged by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the first of four calls at 2015 and mobilised crews from Mitcham, Norbury, Wallington and Croydon fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 2139.
