Shed fire - Kingston

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a garden shed fire on Lancaster Gardens in Kingston.

One garden shed was completely destroyed by fire as well as a pile of garden waste. One man was treated on scene for smoke inhalation and burns by London Ambulance Service.

The Brigade's 999 Control officers received the first of 21 calls at 1540 and deployed crews from Kingston, Richmond, Twickenham, Wandsworth, New Malden fire stations. The fire was under control by 1756.

The cause of the fire was accidental and due to combustible items placed too close to a heat source.
