Disposal of St Columba Radio Mast

This report seeks approval to progress the sale of the freehold property known as St. Columba Radio Station, Spaniards Road, Hampstead Heath, London NW3. The property would be sold with vacant possession granted by the London Fire Commissioner (LFC) and the lease to the City Corporation would remain in place.

Biggin Hill Fire Station - New Appliance Bay

This report is an update to the report approved at Commissioner’s Board on 18 December 2019 where it was noted what whilst the construction of a new appliance bay may be the only solution at that stage, further investigation of other options should be undertaken. The outcome of these investigations were to be included in the report to Deputy Mayor’s Fire and Resilience Board.

Local Pension Board Membership - Proposed Amendment

The London Fire Commissioner (LFC) on 24 September 2018 (LFC-0055-D) appointed the membership of the Local Pension Board (LPB) for three years, which was subsequently amended on 25 September 2019 (LFC-240-D); 5 February 2020 (LFC-0306-D) and 12 March 2020 (LFC-0323) in accordance with the Board's terms of reference. On 6 May 2020 the Fire Officers Association (FOA) informed the Clerk to the board that they wished to appoint Martin Freeman as their substitute representative.

Facilities Management Compliance and Audit Provision

This report recommends a contract model by which LFB Property can discharge its obligations under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related primary and secondary legislation. The proposed model will require the appointment of a Compliance and Audit (C&A) contract to support LFB Property in delivering a legally compliant and safe estate, with reactive works carried out under agreed schedule of rates.
