Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters responded to a fire on Kilburn High Road.
The fire was located in the basement of a takeaway restaurant with flats above. Part of the ground floor was also on fire. Firefighters carried out a systematic search of the building to look for pockets of fire as smoke filled the property. The building was evacuated before crews arrived on scene and there are no reports of any injuries.
Kilburn High Road will remain closed between the junctions with Burton Road and Buckley Road as crews stay on scene.
The Brigade was first called about the fire at 1814, with crews from Paddington, North Kensington, Kensington and surrounding fire stations mobilised to the scene. Firefighters had the incident under control by 2021.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
