Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire on Stable Way in North Kensington.

Multiple sheds and a lorry were alight. There were no reports of any injuries.

Station Commander Anthony Lea, who was at the scene, said: “This was a very visible fire on a busy road, prompting our Control Officers to take more than 70 calls from members of the public.

“Our crews worked quickly to contain the blaze, prevent it from spreading and bring the incident under control.

“Fire Investigators will now begin examining the cause of the fire, and crews are expected to remain at the scene for several hours this evening.”

The Brigade was called at 1623 and fire crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Paddington, Park Royal and Acton fire stations attended the scene, as well as the Brigade’s Zero Emission Capable Pumping Appliance (ZEPA1). The fire was under control by 1805.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
