Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a flat fire on Constable Mews in Bromley.
Firefighters tackled a fire where half of a flat on the third floor of a building was damaged. Crews rescued a man from the property who was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade received eight calls about the fire and mobilised crews from Bromley, Lewisham, Forest Hill and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was brought under control at 1336.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Brigade's Fire Investigation Team.
