Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a fire on View Road, Highgate.

The fire occurred in a detached house of two floors. Part of the first floor and roof was damaged by the fire. A man was assisted from building by crews and treated on scene for smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service. One of the Brigade's 32m ladders was deployed to the scene to provide an aerial view of the fire.

The Brigade's Control Room was notified about the fire at 2019, and crews had the incident under control by 2209. Firefighters from Hornsey and Kentish Town fire stations attended the scene.

The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by hot works being carried out on the roof.
