House fire – Perry Vale

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a house fire on Cibber Road in Perry Vale.  

The roof of an end-of-terrace house was destroyed and most of the first floor was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a dog from the building. There were no reports of any injuries. 

The Brigade’s Control Officers took the first of 17 calls to the fire at 1000 and sent crews from Forest Hill, Lewisham, Greenwich, New Cross and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 1238.  

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
