House fire - East Acton

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended a house fire on Carlisle Avenue in East Acton.

The ground floor of a two-storey house was destroyed by fire. Part of the first-floor was also damaged. O

One woman left the house before firefighters arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service to be treated for smoke inhalation. One kitten was rescued by firefighters from the house but two cats sadly died at the scene.

The Brigade received the first of four calls about the fire at 1505 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Willesden, Chiswick and Wembley fire stations to the scene. The fire extinguished by 1641.

The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
