Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire on The Avenue in West Ealing this morning.
Firefighters tackled a balcony fire on the fourth floor of a 13 storey building. The balcony was almost completely destroyed and part of a flat was also damaged. Around 40 people left the building before the Brigade arrived, no injuries were reported.
The Brigade was first called at 1102 and crews from Acton, Southall, Heston and other surrounding fire stations were sent to the scene. The fire was under control by 1233.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's Fire Investigation Unit.
