Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Broadwater Road in Tottenham.
Half of the first floor and part of the ground floor were destroyed by fire in the two storey mid-terraced house. Two people evacuated the property before the Brigade arrived and they were both taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers received the first of 11 calls alerting them to the fire at 1243. They mobilised crews from Tottenham, Holloway and Southgate fire stations. The fire was under control by 1347.
The fire is being treated as accidental and believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
