Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a four storey block of flats on Muschamp Road in Carshalton.
Part of a three roomed flat on the third floor was damaged by the fire. One man left the building before the Brigade arrived. There are no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers took the first of three calls at 1847 and mobilised crews from Mitcham and Wallington fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1919.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
