Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters attended a fire at a takeaway restaurant on Green Lane in Goodmayes.
Half of the takeaway was damaged by fire along with ducting running from the ground floor to the roof. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received the first of six calls at 1139 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Ilford, Wennington and East Ham fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1226.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
