Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a student halls of residence on Tinworth Street in Vauxhall.
Half of a two roomed flat on the second floor of the eight storey building was damaged by the fire. There are no reports of any injuries.
Control Officers received the call at 1154 and mobilised crews from Soho, Dowgate and Brixton fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1238.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
