Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters responded to a fire on Platt's Lane, in Childs Hill, Barnet.
The fire was located in the roof space of a detached house consisting of three floors. Around three quarters of the roof was alight at the fires height. One of the Brigade's 32m ladders was deployed to fight the fire from height.
The Brigade took the first of 12 calls reporting the fire at 1214, and crews from Hendon, Kentish Town, Paddington and surrounding fire stations were mobilised to the scene. Firefighters had the incident under control by 1458.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's Fire Investigation Team.
