Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a restaurant with offices above on Noel Street in Soho.
Part of the ground floor of the five storey building was damaged by the fire. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to provide the Incident Commander with an aerial view of the fire.
The Brigade was called at 0536 and the fire was extinguished by 0726. Control Officers mobilised crews from Soho and Euston fire stations to the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and was caused by a heat source placed too close to combustible items.
