Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a maisonette on Hampson Way in Stockwell.
Part of a five roomed maisonette split between the third and fourth floors of the seven storey building was damaged by the fire. A small part of the external fascia of a neighbouring flat was also damaged by the fire.
Control Officers took the first of 7 calls at 1256 and mobilised firefighters from Soho, Wandsworth, Whitechapel and Euston fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1417.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
