Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at an industrial unit on Raven Road in South Woodford.
Half of a ground floor store room at the rear of a two storey industrial unit has been destroyed by fire.
The Brigade's 999 Control officers were first called at 0603 and received a total of 16 calls alerting them to the fire. They deployed crews from Woodford, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Hainault and Ilford fire stations. The incident was under control by 0736.
