Six fire engines and around 30 firefighters responded to a fire on Sherborne Gardens, Ealing Broadway.

The fire was located in a semi-detached house, consisting of two floors and a loft conversion. Parts of the roof, loft space and first floor were all damaged by fire. One man left the property before crews arrived, and there are no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was first called about the incident at 1715, and crews from Acton, Southall, Park Royal and surrounding fire stations were mobilised to the scene by Control Officers. Firefighters had the incident under control by 1846.

The fire is believed to have been accidental, caused by sunlight refracting off a surface and onto curtains.
