Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at a mid terraced shop with dwellings above on Putney High Street.
Part of a flat split between the first and second floors was damaged by the fire. One man left the building before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Control Officers took the first of three calls at 1601 and mobilised crews from Wandsworth, Fulham, Putney and Battersea fire stations to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1706.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
